I never thought that I would become a sauna person, but here goes. I did the research, and gradually the skepticism of buying an infrared sauna changed over to being convinced of the benefits. I looked locally and thoroughly scoured the web - Clearlight's quality stood out. From ordering to delivery to set-up (easy!) to the actual product - we have been very happy!

Now for the use - We bought the three person sauna, and have been using it daily for about one month. Everyone in the family, even the Havanese - loves it. I cannot wait to get up in the morning to use it. I turn it on and after biking or using the elliptical, its ready to go. The physical health benefits are very real. Our Clearlight IR sauna arrived a few days ago. My 17 yr. old son and I put it together in about 30 minutes. It is just beautiful, like a piece of furniture. My whole family has used the sauna several times and it is wonderful. I will admit that I was initially a bit skeptical about having a good sweat at lower temperatures. Now I am totally converted. Hello Andy!

Just to say thanks for all your help in my infrafred sauna decision making. I have to tell you that my gut instinct was Clearlight from the beginning and that became more and more clear in my conversations with you and in comparing other companies. It is such a comforting feeling to know for sure that I made the right choice - hands down.

My sauna is up and running as of last night and I can't tell you how thrilled I am. One of my massage cllients had the privilege of using it today even before I did. As soon as she left I was in it and I'm as impressed as she was - I'm pretty confident you will be hearing from her soon. My client's sister is in the market soon for a sauna as well and was planning to buy one from Sam's Club. Not anymore though - she has been enlightened.

Just a quick note (now that I've been using the sauna for a few weeks) to let you know how appreciative I am of the IS-2 sauna and of Sauna Works. I have used the sauna almost every evening (maybe missed twice) since setting it up and am thoroughly enjoying it. Every day I anticipate my evening sauna experience. What a wonderful time to contemplate, mediatate, reflect and just quiet the mind. Also you were so right about our skin. It definitely improves and doesn't take long to start seeing the results.

My 19 year old son has managed to come over almost every day to use the sauna and of course I am thrilled he is because I know it is probably one of the few healthy things he does! :) His skin has definitely improved. When I asked him what he likes about using it he told me it just makes him feel good and happy. So far he has been using it consistently and I hope it continues.

My sister was just here for a 9 day visit and every night we sat in the sauna and she is really wanting to get one. Everyone who has seen or used it has been really impressed. I can't say enough good about it. It is truly a blessing to have and to share my sauna.

In choosing a Sauna, I shopped the Internet. CLEARLIGHT was the obvious winner for nice designs, state-of-the-art sauna technology and quality construction. Believe me, I checked them all.

I ordered the unit and received it within a week. I set it up easily with my son in an hour. The beauty of the sauna is striking, and the aroma of the cedar is like being in another world. The CD player is built in, at no extra cost, so are the lights and the remote control.

If you want a state-of-the-art sauna that looks like a work of art and creates a micro environment that's totally relaxing, I recommend CLEARLIGHT. About two weeks after I got it, a representative of the company contacted me to make sure everything was OK. What a company!

Hi Andy,

You know, it's been I think like three weeks since our sauna arrived and I apologize that I've yet to sit down and tell you "thank you" SO much for providing such an incredible product! Until yesterday, I had not missed even ONE day of relaxing in this gorgeous sauna...and since I did miss yesterday, you can bet that it's warming up right now as I type this to you.

You were so helpful as I took so long making my decision. This is truly a beautifully built piece of furniture. As you know, I had that little snafu with the shipping company and the steepness of my driveway, but whatever you did - it worked - they were out here with a truck the next afternoon.

The sauna was an absolute dream to put together. It took us longer for my husband and I to unpack all the pieces and carry each one around the outside of the house and into the bottom floor (several trips) than it did to put it together. All I can say is that the design is absolutely ingenious.

I'm amazed that I set the temp and timer, and then I make some tea...I usually wait about 15 minutes, get in and within another 10 -15 minutes I am sweating like crazy. I've been staying in between 40 and 60 minutes. It is glorious. I just really want you to know how thrilled I've been with the sauna.

I've been a serious Type A for a very long time. But now I actually have a friend who calls me "sauna girl" because - now don't laugh- I keep saying how it's changed my life. I used to work all day (very long hours), come home, make dinner and then sit at the computer and work for two or three more hours every single night! But now, I'm SO much more relaxed. I usually take my sauna before dinner, and then I might - just might work for an hour in the evening, but then again - I might just read a book and relax instead!

I could go on and on - thankfully, I won't because I can hear that sauna calling my name!

My husband and I ordered your CLS-2 last May. Unbelievably, we set it up, but did not have a chance to use it until this week!!!! I just want you to know how much we LOVE it! I have been using it about 2-3 hours before I go to bed and I have been sleeping like a baby! I do have one question, though. What is the recommended number of times to use it per day? The following is a reference email to a new customer by one of our existing customers who did extensive research into far infrared saunas before making a decision on what brand to buy. The new customer asked several questions and the questions and answers are below:

Dear A-
I was given your name and e-mail by Andy at Sauna Works. We are contemplating buying an infrared sauna from them this week. We are located in San Rafael CA (just north of San Francisco) and plan to place it outside in our backyard. I have a few questions which I’d like to ask of you, if you don’t mind.

How long have you had the sauna? I bought it the week before Christmas. I ordered it on a Friday, late afternoon, it arrived in Kansas City on MONDAY, i scheduled delivery for Wednesday and the local shipper put it in my garage. I could have gotten it sooner if I was able to coordinate delivery with work schedule.

How do you like it? It's AWESOME. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Do you use it very often? I'd like to use it every day now that Holiday travel is done with. The night I put it together I got in at 10pm and was awake until 4:30, because my system was energized. Definitely a sign it's doing something. I'd suggest using it first thing in the morning to get the day started off right, or after work to wind down before going to bed. I have friends, in-laws, etc that are begging to use it.

Which size unit do you have? I have the IS-2. If you are looking at other saunas, pay attention to INTERIOR dimensions as some 2-person saunas are 8-10" narrower and 4"+ shallower which is NOT adequate for 2 people. I'm 6'-1 and find it quite comfortable, though I can't stand up in it, that's not really necessary. It's in my basement and is 3-4" below the dropped ceiling so I wouldn't want it much taller.

How has the service and support been from the company? FANTASTIC!!!! Andy and I exchanged dozens of emails in my extensive research to find the "best" sauna.

Have you had any problems with the equipment? Not at all. All components are covered by a LIFETIME warranty, something only a few other companies match.

Any other comments or suggestions are most welcome. As I previously wrote in my email that crashed... I could write a book! You mentioned putting it outside. I'd DEFINITELY go with cedar for it's hot/cold expansion, resistance to decay and pests, aromatic smell and ability to weather the elements. A cover is a MUST as the roof isn't waterproof, and it's more like a piece of furniture.

Other saunas use "hypoallergenic" basswood or poplar. Not good for exterior use or interior really. I used basswood for woodcarving as a kid because it's so soft and easy to work with, therefore not the best for a sauna to hold up well in my opinion.

Clearlight has some of the best ceramic emitters on the market based on my research. Others use tiny incoloy rods or small ceramic heaters with deflectors that I've heard alter the FAR wavelength and create hot spots on your back. The larger the surface area the more FIR that can be emitted without having to be extremely hot. I use mine at 115-130 degrees.

We were able to unpack it and assemble in Friday afternoon. It is beautiful. The assembly was as easy as you said it would be and all the components are working great. Hi, Andy,

The sauna is up, assembled, plugged in and we started using it over the weekend. We are thrilled with it. I really could not be happier.

My doctor had recommended that I try one at a local bodycare place before we invested in our own. The one they have there is an Airwall and it's fine but the Clearlight is much nicer.   The Clearlight just seems to be higher quality overall. It's better built and more comfortable as well and the interior controls are a huge plus. I am glad we got the three-person size. When G and I are in there together we have room to spread out a little.

A contractor friend of ours was over to visit and he pointed out details in the woodworking of the cabinet I would not have noticed otherwise. He was very impressed.

I just wanted to let you know we received the sauna ok. It came undamaged and it took longer to unpack than it did to put it together. My wife and I both love it, and I being very particular about quality can say I can find very little wrong with it. If I had to find something that could use improvement.........it would be the radio/cd players volume control. When you are sitting quietly inside the sauna, and would like some soft background music, I find the lowest setting is still too high for my tastes. I have overcome that by setting the reverb to a negative number.

But I wanted to thank-you and congratulate the entire staff for putting together a quality sauna. The feeling of quality will far outlast the feeling of low price. Please pass this on to your staff.
